Big Brothers Big Sisters has always supported children through mentoring relationships.  Our Self-Sufficiency Program extends this philosophy to families.

Our Self-Sufficiency Program helps lift families out of poverty by promoting family stability and meaningful employment.  We provide clients with the support of a trained, committed mentor, and navigators who provide technical expertise in such areas as finance, budgeting, housing, transportation, child care and education.

Clients view their mentors as allies who believe in them, stick by them over time, and give them ideas and connections to help them get ahead.

Together, our team helps clients develop goals, overcome obstacles, and achieve objectives as they progress to self-sufficiency.
